Upper Venosta Valley is a cyclists’ paradise that runs along the ancient Roman Via Claudia Augusta
in the south of the cultural region of Venosta Valley. This cycling
trail along the river Adige is best experienced with a racing bike. The
cycling trails through the wide, flat valley basin are ideal for
moderate cyclists and families. The 80 km long Etschradweg
trail, which runs slightly downhill, is particularly popular. There are
many places to stop in the Upper Venosta Valley holiday region.
Bike Rental, Bikemobilcard, Bikeshuttle
"Suedtirol Rad" and "Papin Rent a Bike" offer bicycle rentals
at seven train stations along the Venosta Valley railway line. These
rental bikes can be returned at each station with the sign "Suedtirol
Rad" or "Papin Rent a Bike".
The Bikemobil Card allows the use of all public transport in South Tyrol and the one-off use of a rental bike.
From the beginning of April to the end of October the Bikeshuttle Service
offers a shuttle service and also offers a daily people, bicycle and
luggage transport service along the cycling route of Via Claudia
Augusta.
