The archeoParc in Schnalstal Valley in South Tyrol
Reliving the Neolithic Age at the time of Ötzi
The archeoParc educational museum in the Schnalstal Valley recreates the spot where Ötzi, the 5,300 year old ice mummy, was discovered. Ötzi’s reconstructed habitat covers 4000 m², with small wooden huts and hearths, clay ovens and simulated wheat fields illustrating human life in the Neolithic Age. The demonstrations and workshops are intended to portray the everyday life of the “Ice-man”, while he made bread, as an archer and the making of copper jewellery. This is a fun and informative outing for all the family.
