Not only are customs and traditions preserved in Val Venosta, (including
processions and marches, traditional
markets and raucous winter rituals), but these are also living traditions, handed down from generation to generation.
February is the time to chase winter away before the arrival of Easter, Pentecost and the Marian month of May. In June, the
Fires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus light up the night sky. The
rogation of San Martino in Monte and Our Lady of Senales/Unser Frau in Schnals take place in June, while in December during Advent, the
Laces devils go out and create havoc.
