Latschander irrigation channel trail

Latschanderwaal Trail shows how vital water was for the farmes: parts of the channel are cut into rock. This longer but level trail leads from Latsch to Kastelbell.Set out from the center of Latsch village. Take the road leading to Goldrain. After reaching Herilu, the little shopping center, turn into Roman-Köhle-Weg at the second junction. Continue on the Tisserweg trail through the underpass and keep right to move on the Waalweg trail #3. While wild and rocky at first, the scenery soon changes to gentle vineyards and orchards. After passing Kastelbell Castle, your tour ends at Kastelbell village square.
