Irrigation channel path round (Neuwaal-Rautwaal- Mareinwaal))

A loop trail with plenty to enjoy: farmland, orchards, woods, rest areas and mysterious Waaler rock paintings paired with breathtaking views over the ruins of Untermontani and Obermontani castles. 

Start your hike behind IceForum Latsch. Neuwaal Trail first takes you to the Magrinböden area. Continue towards Obermontanicastle and follow the signs "Waalrundweg". After a short descent, cross the street to proceed to Rautwaalweg on the opposite side of the mountain. Above Morter, a forest road leads downhill through the village of Morter to the main road. Cross this and continue to the Plima bridge, from where you return to the starting point on trail no. 5.
