Enjoy the serenity and spectacular views on this sunny trail in Taufers im Münstertal near Italy’s border with Switzerland and explore castle ruins, Romanesque buildings, and sacrificial stones.

Route description

The trail starts next to the Romanesque St. Johann church at the village entrance of Taufers. Follow the signs to the St. Michael parish church, then proceed to the Turnaunawaal trail. Take a moment to admire the prehistoric cup-marked stone nestled in the larch woods. Via trail #6, continue along the hairpin turns of the loop trail until you reach the ruins of Rotund castle. Descend via the ruins of Reichenberg castle to return to the starting point.
