„Agumser Bergwaal“ irrigation channel path

General description

Agumser Bergwaal is a trail for sun lovers taking you through forests, meadows, 
hamlets, and past a barbecue site with a panoramic swing set before reaching the 
hamlet of Stilfserbrücke.

Possibility of stopping for refreshments: In the inns in Stilfs and Prad

Route description

Set out from aquaprad visitor centre, pass by the parish church, cross the Suldenbachbrücke bridge opposite the playground, and follow the signs for trail #11 on the right-hand banks of the stream to reach the Patzleid barbecue site. From there, proceed on trail #33 winding along the old irrigation channel to the hamlet of Stilfser-
brücke. A public bus will take you back to your starting point. Another recommended 
hike: long-distance trail #34 to Stilfs.

Description to arrive at destination
From Merano, as well as from the Resia Pass, take the descent from Spondinig to Prad am Stilfserjoch. From there, we head towards Glurns to the starting point, the Suldenbach Bridge, on the western outskirts of Prad.
Parking
Parking at the local cemetery of Prad, 500 m walk from the starting point.
Public transport
Train 250 to Spondinig station and from there by bus:
270, stop Hauptplatz Prad
271, stop Hauptplatz Prad
272, stop Rathaus Prad

The hike is not recommended in bad weather due to the risk of falling rocks.
