"Gschneierwaal" irrigation channel path

General description

Embark on this loop trail along a very special waterway: with a total of 13 farms connected to it, this open, unlined Waal canal is simply dug into the ground and the only Vinschgau community Waal

Refreshment stop: In the inns in Schluderns 

Route description

From the Vuseum in Schluderns, head towards Churburg castle and, behind the castle, follow trail #21 until the end of Beerennasch trail at Birkenhof farm. Continue along the road and then on trail #27. Follow Gschneirerwaal trail #23 up to Greinhof farm. From there, descend on trail #20A and continue on trail #17. At the small bridge, turn left, follow Berkwaal trail until the junction “zum Edelweißsteig” and continue on trail #19. Hike back to your starting point via trail #18A.
