Grain path

In the Upper Venosta Valley, farmers have mainly grown rye over the last 150 years. Winter rye also grew at higher altitudes. In addition to rye, oats and barley also grew in the area around Stilfs. The farmers used the rye and barley for cooking and baking, while the oats were fed to the animals. The Grain Path leads past the rye and oat fields that still exist today and reach as far as Prad.From the bus stop in Stelvio follow the path towards the village center and then the route description Archaikweg. The path leads through the village with its impressive narrow streets and beyond. Trail no. 11 continues downhill to the Agums fraction in Prad.
