The "Wurzelweg" is a steep path with numerous sculptures.
General description
The "Wurzelweg" is a steep, almost vertical path in a beautiful mountain forest in the Stelvio National Park. The wooden sculptures along the path were installed by Toni Reinstadler in 2010. The path leads to the Orso/Langenstein mountain station, overcoming 400 meters in altitude.
Route description
The path leads from the church of Solda/Sulden via path no. 3 to the Orso. The way back is along path nr. 10 and then nr. 4.
Description to arrive at destination
From Spondigna/Spondinig via the street to the Stelvio Pass SS 38 to Gomagoi, then left to Solda. From Spondigna to the parking area is it approx. 20 km.
Parking
In order to get to the starting point, the parking area at the beginning of the village is the most suitable.
Public transport
If you do not want to travel to Solda by private car, you can use the pubblic transport. With the bus line 271 you get from Prato allo Stelvio/Spondigna to Solda in about half an hour. The bus stop is located directly at the tourist office Solda.
