Culture Trail Solda

If you want to experience a hike with a wonderful view, you should take the Cultural trail in Solda.

General description

The Culture Promenade is a beautiful circular trail of about 7 km in length, located in the valley floor of Sulden. The path is even, with almost no elevation gain, and passes by 12 cultural sites and museums that tell the history of tourism in the Ortler region, from its pioneering days to the present. The promenade is accessible year-round and offers seating areas to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Route description

The Culture Promenade can be started at the Sulden tourist office. Passing by the old church, follow trail no. 7 towards the end of the valley until you reach the cable car. There, switch to the opposite side of the valley, taking trail no. 6. (After reaching the Messner Mountain Museum, the valley side is changed once more. Following the signage for trail no. 8, you will return to the starting point.) This section is currently closed.

Description to arrive at destination

From Spondigna/Spondinig via the street to the Stelvio Pass SS 38 to Gomagoi, then left to Solda. At the beginning of the village is the parking area behind the Hotel Bambi. 

From Spondigna to the parking area is it approx. 20 km.

Parking

In order to get to the starting point of the circuit trail in Solda, the parking area at the beginning of the village is the most suitable.

Public transport

If you do not want to travel to Solda by private car, you can use the pubblic transport. With the bus line 271 you get to Solda in about half an hour. The bus stop is located directly at the tourist office Solda.
