Deep Snow Skiing in the Ski Areas at Solda and Trafoi

The snowy landscape of the Ortles region offers freeriders a variety of snow-covered slopes for breathtaking deep snow descents at a range of difficulty levels. One of the most popular descents through the fresh powder snow runs from the Schöntaufspitze mountain at 3,400 m a.s.l. to the valley station at 1,900 m.

Modern ski lifts make the Schöntaufspitze mountain easily accessible. Due to its high altitude, it boasts favorable snow conditions well into the spring, making this descent a free-ride you won’t forget!

The Sulden Ski School

At the Ski School in Solda, students can learn from the skills and experience of former ski professionals and trainers, because for almost 75 years the Ski School has been guaranteeing technique, safety on skis, hospitality and professional teaching. Using the most modern teaching methods, the participants learn to carve, snowboard, freeride or race. Let us accompany you on the best slopes or learn how to ski according to the basics of Primaristic. There is also something for the little ones. As a member of the "Specialised Children's Ski Schools" of South Tyrol, the Yeti Club in the Sulden ski area has been awarded the Gold Seal of Quality of South Tyrolean Ski Schools.

Skiing at the foot of king Ortles

In the two ski areas Sulden and Trafoi, embedded in the breathtaking panorama of 14 three-thousanders, you can expect pure skiing pleasure from October to May. From 3,250 m to 1,900 m the highest of emotions: always in view the giants Ortler, Cevedale Königsspitze and Zebru.
