From Sulden/Solda via Zaytal valley to the Düsseldorfer Hütte hut below the rock face

General description

This tour leads from Sulden via the beautiful Zaytal valley to the Düsseldorfer Hütte mountain hut, located below a rock face at 2,721 m. Enjoy a stunning view of the Ortler’s classic three peaks from the sun terrace.
(Hut is closed in winter.)

Route description
Starting from Sulden, complete a steep ascent to the left past the Zaytal valley and up to the Düsseldorfer Hütte mountain hut located below the rock face. The trail initially heads up somewhat steeply to the left and past the stream, then joins a section of more level terrain. Stay on this trail for nearly 3 hours to reach the Düsseldorfer Hütte mountain hut, located below the rock face at 2,721 m.
Description to arrive at destination

From Spondinig/Spondigna via Stilfserjoch pass road SS 38 to Gomagoi, then left to Sulden/Solda. It is approx. 20 km from Spondinig to Sulden.

Parking

At the entrance of the village, between Hotel Bambi and Hotel Eller, there is a paid public parking lot. It offers a sufficient number of parking spaces and is easily accessible from the main road.

Public transport

If you would rather not travel to Sulden by car, you also have the option of using public transport. The no. 271 bus will bring you to Sulden in a little over half an hour. The bus stop is located right alongside the Hotel Post.
