The Solda/Sulden skiing area lies at the center of the Ortles mountain Group in the
Stelvio National Park.
Situated in the midst of an impressive 14 three-thousander peaks, it
operates from October to the beginning of May and offers winter sports
fans and families
a diverse range of slopes, a funpark
with half-pipe and boardercross and a top-notch modern infrastructure,
all at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters above sea level. The most
modern aerial cableway in the Alps transports visitors in a matter of
minutes to the skiing area at the Ortles mountain.
The ski area at Solda is also equipped for the littlest members of the family. The Ski School Solda’s
Ski Kindergarten/Yeti Club lets little skiers take their first turns in the snow under the watchful eyes of experienced supervisors.
For nature lovers who prefer to go off-piste, Solda offers
the ideal terrain for scenic ski tours in the high mountain area of the
three-thousanders. The terrain is skiable well into the spring. The tour
to the Solda summit – offering skiing at 3,376 meters above sea level –
comes particularly highly recommended.
