Glacier skiing in the
Stelvio National Park offers ski enthusiasts the opportunity to practice their hobby all year
round. Even in summer, the high mountain conditions of snow, sunshine
and mild temperatures draw large numbers of ski enthusiasts. The
elevated altitudes of the majestic
Ortles and surrounding mountains allow skiing all the way through from May to November.
Alongside
30 kilometers of pistes, ten cars and lifts and a snowpark,
passionate summer skiiers are also drawn to the three cross-country ski
trails offering a total of 12km of enjoyable cross-country skiing. The
most challenging of these lies at the foot of the Monte Cristallo at a
height of 3,400 km a.s.l.
