In Prato allo Stelvio, as indeed throughout the Venosta Valley, the markets have an unbroken centuries-old tradition. Weekly markets and farmers' markets take place throughout the year, in which (among other things) local products are on sale in addition to traditional arts and crafts.

On particular days, the traditional markets also become social events: on 2 November the Allerseelenmarkt market takes place in the small medieval town of Glorenza/Glurns, in 24.06.2022 the S. Giovanni market is held in Prato/Prad, in mid-October there is the Gollimorkt in Malles/Mals and at the end of November the Katharina market in Sluderno/Schluderns takes place with a colorful array of goods, culinary products, music and events.

The Glorenza Advent in the medieval town of Glorenza/Glurns and the market in Val Martell (located at an altitude of more than 2000m) are both eventful Christmas markets.
