From Curon, the valley opens out towards the east to the wild
Vallelunga Valley. It is not only one of the most pristine valleys in the entire Alpine range, but also a
center for winter sports.
The valley is characterized by its
unspoiled Alpine farm landscape and is dotted with small settlements and isolated farms. At the bottom of this valley there are meadows and pastures with a stunning view of the
Ötztal Alps and their glaciers. From the
cross-country ski center at Melago, you can reach the top of the majestic
Weißkugel mountain (at an altitude of 3,739 meters) or the equally impressive Weißsee peak, at 3,526 meters.
