Venosta Valley
To the Schlanderser Alm Alp
Hiking Trail no. 15 - 4
General description
High up on the Sonnenberg/Monte Sole of Schlanders/Silandro, the "Neuwaal" begins. It is one of the highest irrigation channels in the Venosta Valley region. The path, sometimes narrow and with wooden footbridges, leads through meadows and larch slopes into the quiet Schlandraun Valley. The Waalweg requires a certain surefootedness.
Route description
From the farmstead Aussereggen, along the Neuwaal, and then continuing along the forest road. On this idyllic hike through the Schlandraun Valley, you reach the picturesque Schlanderser Alm Alp. Here you can enjoy a cozy stop with simple meals and take in the tranquility and the impressive landscape. The return is via the same route.
