Watles Cross Tour

General description

The Watles Cross Tour is the ideal tour to discover the Watles adventure mountain and all its different facets. This hike leads from the Plantapatsch mountain hut up to the summit cross and back again via the Pfaffensee lake.

Route description
Our starting point for this hike - the Plantapatsch mountain hut (2150m) - is easy to reach with the 4-seater chairlift. Now we set off on the new hiking trail no. 3, ascending steadily until we finally reach the Watles summit (2555m). This is the highest point of this tour. From here you have a magical view of the Upper Vinschgau valley basin. The descent now follows hiking trail no. 4 with a view of the Zerzertal valley. This trail takes us to the idyllic Pfaffensee lake. From the Pfaffensee lake, trail no. 4A leads back to the Plantapatsch mountain hut, the starting point of the hike.

A little tip: in addition to the chairlift, the Watles Rider can also be used for the descent. The riders provide one last adrenaline rush down to the valley station.
