Exploring the Cultural Landscape around Reschensee Lake on an E-bike
Sport
Graun
On this organised cultural e-bike tour, learn of the strange and sad story marked by the sunken church tower of the former village of Curon/Graun submerged beneath the lake waters. The small 14 th Century Romanesque church bears silent testimony to the damming up of the artificial lake shortly after the end of the Second World War. The former military bunkers are another leftover of the interwar period. Visit the bunker at the source of the Etsch river, with a local guide to explain the history of South Tyrol.
Duration: 5 h
Meeting point: Curon/Graun car park, in front of the church tower protruding from the lake (time: 9.30 am)
