A beautiful mountain hike, which requires you to be sure footed and with a head for heights. The hike starts at the Maseben mountain hut from where you follow the path signposted no. 18. From Maseben turn left and arrive at two small lakes. Walk past the lakes to the right of the river towards the Valbenair valley. At the end of the ski-lift there is a wide-open area. Cross the plain and walk slightly uphill to the left of the Tiergartenspitze peak. Once over the hill, the path turns slightly to the left and you encounter increasingly rocky terrain. After a while, approach the summit ridge and the terrain becomes noticeably steeper. In the middle of the northern flank, the path goes up to Mitterloch Spitze peak. The descent follows the same route as the one going up.
