Asparagus and wine growers, restaurants and local merchants take part in the Asparagus Weeks in Kastelbell-Tschars, which take place again this year from mid-April to the end of May.

Special features of the Kastelbell asparagus
Over 30 years ago, Hubert and Martin Pohl established the first modern asparagus plantation on the ‘Köfelgut’ farm in Kastelbell, using new varieties and cultivation techniques. The flavour and therefore the quality of the asparagus are largely determined by the soil. The quality of the asparagus is largely determined by its freshness. We therefore endeavour to deliver asparagus to restaurants and sales outlets on the day of harvest wherever possible.
