The Resia Pass holiday area on the border with Austria and Switzerland
is a natural paradise for those who love the outdoors, for sports fans,
those interested in culture and food lovers eager to discover new local
specialties.
The partly submerged old
Curon/Graun
tower in Lake Resia is unique and is considered the symbol of the
Venosta Valley symbolizing the disaster suffered by the people of this
region. Just above the village of
Resia/Reschen lies the source of the Adige River, the second longest in Italy. The third village located on the Resia Pass high plateau is
St. Valentino alla Muta/St. Valentin a.d.H.,
situated on the idyllic Haidersee Lake. From the village of Curon
one arrives at the Vallelunga/Langtaufers, a side valley in the Alpine high plain
containing numerous small settlements and scattered farmsteads. The
Vallelunga is very much loved by sports practitioners.
