The altitude of the areas around the Resia Pass and the pastures near the
Resia and St. Valentino lakes is also suitable for the cultivation of mountain herbs.
Here, over 1,000 m above sea level, the mountain herbs develop a
unique taste and an especially intense aroma. They are used for tea blends, as dried herbs in the kitchen, and for the production of herbal honey or natural cosmetics.
Foodies will find these natural products in their producers’ farm stores and in
selected shops in the region. Herb lovers can learn more about the planting and the gentle processing of herbs on a
guided nature walk.
